Super 8, the GREAT

Steven Spielberg never fails. His latest flick, Super 8 has the spectacle and special effects to take off soaring at the box office. The story is about a group of young boys and one young lady who are filming to enter a film festival in a few weeks. After sneaking out one night and shooting on location at a train station, things go a little differently than planned when the train is hit on its tracks by a truck carrying an oh too familiar driver...one of the students teachers. The flick follows the children as they continue to shoot their flick as their town starts to dwindle due to the accident and its consequences. (I'm trying not to spoil too much for y'all...its too mint!!)

The two main characters, Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning are awesome, i cannot believe they are
such young-ins! True talent.

The flick exceeded my expectations and left me wanting to see more!

Go see this movie TONIGHT!!!!!

I give this flick a 5 of 5.

Once a bridesmaid, always a Bridesmaid

Starring the fabulously hilarious Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids is full of those oh my goodness I may be getting abs because I am laughing so hard laughs. Kristen plays the role of Annie, whose best friend chooses her to be the maid of honor at her wedding. Annie proceeds to fail at holding up to the high and classy expectations of her best friend bride, and the other bridesmaids, and ends up having a falling out with the bride. This up and down laugh out loud comedy is a great break out role for Kristen, whom i personally am a fan of due to her SNL success and "hair twirl brags".

Although some parts are a little ott (over the top), Bridesmaids held up to the "Female Hangover" expectations I had for sure, and even stars a cute man with an accent...i'd say worth going to see just for his sweet character whom i fell for ;)

Don't red-box this sucker, go see it in the theater with your girlfriends for a great laugh!

This flick gets a 4 of 5.

They should have borrowed something

I had very high expectations for this flick Something Borrowed, starring Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin. Rachel (Goodwin) and Darcy (Hudson) are best friends whose love lives get tangled when Rachel never tells Darcy her true feelings for the boy Rachel introduced her to many years ago, oh and who is now Darcy's FIANCE! Trouble ensues when the fiance reveals his true feelings and when Darcy reveals some issues of her own.

Adapted from the book of the same title the flick has the typical Kate Hudson fun-loving blonde character we usually see her play. Ginnifer Goodwin has a similar role as her character in He's Just Not That Into You, but you see her grow as an actress as the flick progresses, shes great in this flick. John Krasinski on the other hand stole the show!! Loveloveloved his character and was pushing for him to succeed.

The flick did not uphold expectations, and unfortunately you could watch the television previews and see most of it there...I say red-box it instead of rush to the theater.

I give it a 3 of 5
